Sandy accepted Jesus as her Saviour at Daybreak Point Bible Camp on Anvil Island when she was 12 years old experiencing a vision of Jesus that she has never forgotten. Because her parents were not church attendees, she attended church wherever a neighbourhood kid invited her; therefore, she received exposure to various denominations and came to realize that her relationship with Jesus is the most important factor.
She held a position of Tithing Clerk/Treasurer for a couple of years in one church in Campbell River, BC..
She has been a Sunday School teacher, a Pioneer Club leader, and a Young Peoples leader.
She attended Y.W.A.M. in 01/88 with her 3 children.
Over the next few years, her married children blessed her with 7 beautiful grandchildren.
When she lived in Campbell River, BC, she was the March for Jesus Coordinator, 1993 & 1994.
She organized and led an outreach team back to Campbell River while living in Mission.
She also made a prayer drive across Canada to PEI and back, and was a prayer team member on Watchman for the Nations', Train of Tears.
Sandy loves Jesus and serves him the best that she can.
Lyn, a former pastor and counsellor with her late husband, was raised in a Catholic home. She married at 19 and became involved in the occult. However, at the age of 24, she accepted the Lord. Her then alcoholic drug addicted husband did so 6 months later.
They were involved in church ministry for several years, as well as counselling when they ran their own foster homes and worked in youth facilities in the justice system. They helped plant a church in Princeton, BC, and later one in Surrey, BC. She co-pastored with her husband in Surrey, BC, and also in downtown Vancouver, BC, east side.
Lyn lost her husband 4 years ago to cancer. Because of his health and other physical problems, they had to stop doing street church ministry.
As co pastor, Lyn preached, led in worship and counselled those in need.
She now lives with her youngest son with whom she attends church.
Lyn continues to Love and serve Jesus.
